Check in was smooth

Referred from the women's. It was meant to be 2 weeks but they lost our referral and it has been 3 weeks and we now have an appointment. The check in at outpatients was smooth. I am waiting to see a doctor now which shouldn't take too long.

My son waited 4 hours in pain as a priority

Been good. The wait can be quite a lot. A&E with son was 8 hour wait and he was in lots of pain. He was crying and I kept asking the nurse when he would be seen and she said he was a high priority. He was seen after 4 hours but not by a doctor, it was someone beneath them. They prescribed him something. I wasn't told he wouldn't see an actual doctor. They sometimes don't have any compassion and I feel they should have more chairs because we had to stand and wait because it was so busy there. Were here for an appointment today but haven't had to wait too long.

They provided us somewhere to stay

She had surgery 2 weeks ago. Its the first follow up today. She has spina bifida so we had to wait for the appointment but when she turned 2 they arranged it. We were kept well informed on the operation. She stayed in for 9 days and they provided a place at Ronald McDonald house so me and her dad could stay with her. The stay was fine. It was all good.

Get good amount of notice about appointments

We have been a few times and it's been a good experience. Nurses and doctors are good. I come to the cleft clinic and we get good notice about our appointments.

Nice staff.

Attended for blood tests. It was alright and pretty straight forward. The staff are nice here.

Appointment booked straight away

Referred to Audiology but I am not sure if my daughter will still be referred onto SALT. Will wait to see what the doctor says. They have booked the appointment straight away, no messing around.

I use A&E for the children sometimes and I can wait a while but they are always helpful and help my children.

They didn't know what was wrong with him.

Not good. When your child is sick you have to wait a long time. My son had something wrong with his heart when I took him last month. The doctors didn't know what was wrong with him.
