It was an awful experience and it put me off asking for help again it made me worse if anything.

Am currently attending CFT therapy group. (compassionate focused therapy). It's going well. Started as eleven people but only seven of us continuing.

Nothing has gone well, first had to self refer to Birmingham Healthy Minds who referred me to the local CMHT who refuse to treat me (not a critical patient), who told me to self refer to the living well consortium who have yet to contact me. The initial referral was September 2024 and it is now March 2025. Also looking for assessment for autism and so far I am a year into the wait to see a specialist.

They're the worst because they provide you with support. You get better and then you get worse again because you don't get any help afterwards.

I was referred to a counselling service but it wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. They recommended MBT but wasn't able to access it after that. They were accessible but not what I needed.

Tried to get some help for depression. Made me wait 2 months for "triage". Tried to fob me off with sleep hygiene. Didn't read the notes. Tried to make out I was being difficult because I said, "I assumed that they would have read the notes". Unjustifiably arrogant
Condescending. Shockingly unprofessional. I dread to think what they do to people in worse conditions than mine. Or with less capacity than mine. I suspect many of those end really very badly.

I was referred to them from my doctors and the referral process was quite quick. I've had a really good experience with them.

Lost my referral. Did the initial assessment, said they’d ring back. Didn’t.
Re-referred myself 10 mths ago. Same thing happened!
I have no confidence in this shambolic service.

over 6 months ago I made a self referral but have have heard nothing

The service was quick to screen but then there is another wait before being only offered 4-6 sessions.
