Care, support and treatment was excellent

I was treated for a heart attack a number of times and the care, support and treatment I have received was excellent.

Quality of care isn't as good

I must have visited this hospital 70 times in the last 20 years. I think over the years the quality of care has gone down.

Forced my husbands discharge

My husband had too high calcium when he had cancer. They reversed the calcium. The administration staff were forceful at getting him discharged. They don't give you a dedicated cancer nurse. It was several people and not like how they advertise on the TV.

Very long wait when you're not feeling well

It was a long wait. 12 hours for normal waiting times. The care was good but they have to prioritise people who are more ill. They eventually saw me at 1:30am then I was sent home the next day. Very long wait when you're not feeling well.

Seen quickly and very thorough

I was sent here from the walk in centre for further tests as they weren't sure what was wrong. They gave me a wristband and did some tests and I was seen really quickly. They were very thorough and arranged a follow up scan here today.

I couldn't stay with my premature baby

My 1 year old son was born premature at 7 months. I had him and was discharged the next day. My son was there for 22 days and they didn't offer me a bed to stay with my baby. I just wanted to be with him and they refused. The midwife who helped me give birth was very nice and so were the staff. It was just very hard visiting the hospital and expressing everyday whilst not being with my baby.

Was seen quickly

My little brother went in as an emergency and was seen within 5-10 minutes. Treated well and they were really good.

Seen late

I was seen later than my appointment time. Staff were in a rush and did not really ask personal questions. The doctors do listen to complaints but the attitude of staff can sometimes be difficult.

Received all the care I needed.

I was referred to the shoulder clinic for shoulder impingement. I was treated very well and provided with all the support and care I needed.

7 hours waiting in A&E
