Hafod Nursing Home

I would rate this service fair. Not poor but nowhere near outstanding. The service lacks consistency as there is frequent changes of staff. There needs to be more permanent staff who provide direct care to residents with a real interest in the residents welfare and understanding that provides an appropriate care/service to its residents. Staff do not communicate adequately or effectively with resident's carers or representatives as they do not maintain contact to update on the residents care or needs.

Staff are very attentive to my Father's needs who has vascular dementia. The staff are exceptional and my Father loves the resident dogs.

My mother has extremely challenging behaviours due to her condition of severe dementia. The staff at the nursing home have managed to build excellent relationships with her and understand her needs exceptionally well.

The staff are friendly and attentive and genuinely care. The home Manager, contacts me regularly to update me on my mom's care plan and her general wellbeing.

My father came for end of life care and we were allowed to bring his tiny dog to stay with him. It was excellent and so dignified
