Terrible Pharmacist in charge

November 12, 2022
Pharmacist refusing outright to vaccinate those with have been vaccinated previously and have a letter for the Autumn Booster. Masters Pharmacy need to look into the competency level of the Pharmacist who is clearly working beyond their competency level. Those they refuse to vaccinate may not be able to get to another venue for vaccination. A dangerous situation, given the numbers they turn away.

Unprofessional, time-wasting. No Dignity.

October 27, 2022
The potential recipient of the vaccine is required to fill in two pages (the second page had about 5 or 6 repeated questions) of a questionnaire, and then the person who was to give the vaccine ( an over-nervous Pharmacist, NOT a doctor or nurse) read aloud, in an uneunnecessarily loud voice - (what about patient confidentiality and maintaining dignity for the patient), the questions again and debated over the answers. And all this in front of a horde of female workers clustering around the desks. This lasted 30-40 minutes. Then an elderly man was asked to leave the area behind medical privacy screens without being allowed to put on his shirt and sweater and jacket, after he had been dealt with. He was stooped and walked with difficulty and with great effort carried his clothes, his torso bare, to the public waiting area, in full view of the other "clients" of this service and put on his shirt and sweater and jacket standing there. A little dignity for him wouldn't have gone amiss. This service is ill-run. Previously the service was provided at the Al-Abbas Islamic Centre and was run very professionally with Doctors on-site. Someone needs to assess the pharmacist who has been entrusted with the running of this service. The whole process needs to be evaluated. Certainly, a doctor ought to be in charge.

Safe, efficient, personable and swift

October 16, 2022
I booked an appointment for my COVID-19 Autumn booster the day before. But I printed off a confirmation of appointment from an earlier one, and presented it to the receptionist. Despite this I was registered straightaway, and seen directly. Staff were clearly very well organised, and personable. They took great trouble to put me at my ease (needles make me nervous). I barely felt my injection and the whole thing was over in a trice. They gave me good advice on possible after effects, and details of my vaccination were recorded carefully in writing and given to me. I even got a badge!

Got an appointment for my booster two days before via the NHS website. Quite long queues when I arrived but was seen very quickly.
