Newday Nursing Home

Perfect. Staff are perfect. Staff come out at night times and give you medication. They order all medication for me. When I first got here I didn't want to stay, but now it's my home inside a home. My room is an absolute paradise. It's a haven. They listened to me and my needs. They are amazing. They are always there. They are always asking what I need for activities. They paint my nails. The food is amazing. It's on par with a hotel. There is always a choice. I have a chiropodist and hairdresser come in. Activities are designed around everybody's needs.

It's good here. I have been here around 6 years and I like it. The staff are lovely too. I know that I can ask them to take me to the doctor and they will listen to me. They also take me to the hospital appointments. They're very good.

I like it here. I have been here for about 6 months. The staff are good and the food too. Nothing is any bother. The staff do what they can. They will get me to the doctor if I need it no bother.

My wife has very severe Alzheimer dementia. She is immobile, requires total care from staff including medication.
The nursing home is excellent.
It is small and has a dementia specialism.
Staff, carers, nurses and domestic staff are outstanding. Supportive of me, her husband.
They are friendly and very kind.
A real bonus is the staff and very multiracial. Eastern European, African Caribbean, various Asian.
This is important to me as my wife and I worked in education in multi racial settings.
The weakness is outside the nursing home. Lack of support for carers like me and older people on their own.
