Inconsistent standards

Staff are friendly enough but continued instances of carers omitting to give medications which are important . Occasionally not visited . Consistently late outside of care plan times or too early in giving evening medications

I have a few occasions when I have had to ring the office about the service my partner has received and it has taken a couple of days to get a call back and the outcome has not been what I would have expected. leaving food out not covered not turning up at all and no phone call to explain why and not turning up at the hour we requested on the 2 days we asked for early calls as he has appointments on those 2 days, just not happy with the sevice.

Have had difficulty understanding the carer's accents. Timekeeping is poor.

Generally a very good service though communication and continuity of service sometimes lacking due to resourcing issues.
Management - quick to respond to emails/texts

Management - quick to respond to emails/texts whenever issues arise. Carers usually turn up on time, and stay on longer if there is an urgent need to deal with, which is much appreciated. It would help if some of the carers had a better command of spoken English to help my mother understand what is said.

Most carers are good. Some are exceptional, I wish I could have them all the time instead of the good or indifferent ones. The admin side when I need to contact them is not very good as they don't use a greeting and they don't always phone me back when they say they will. They don't pass messages on to staff about issues, like needing to restock gloves (H&S Issue)
Was poor but is better now I have a new carer

My new carer who comes to me three times a day seven days a week, really cares, she does an outstanding job, and is always kind and friendly. The best carer I have had from Pleasant Valley Care.
