Phoned back as promised

September 11, 2021
Change in medication advised by psychiatrist. Getting symptoms of worsening bipolar. Spoke to duty nurse and described new symptoms. Was promised they would speak to psychiatrist and call me back with more info, which they did. Reassuring advice on what further medication changes to make.

Disappointed, poor support

May 8, 2021
A patient for over 10 years and still being treated for symptoms, no diagnosis. Poor support, never follow up on patients in crisis, even when you ring them in crisis, never put recommendations into actions, poor at returning calls, never send copy of report for visits, even though this has been requested several times. High turnover of staff. The staff are nice, polite and friendly, especially the Receptionists on the front desk. Very long wait for therapies and Pychologist, 18 months wait. We urgently need it NOW! Recently sectioned for 2 weeks, immediately the hospital Consultant and Clinical Psychologist diagnosed Autism. I have been telling this Centre this for over 10 years and nobody listened. I feel failed by this Mental Health Service. The hospital were brilliant and the Home Treatment team. We are now referred back to this Service Centre and I’m so dispondant for the future.

Help is not being provided.

April 22, 2021
This has been an on going problem with my GP and Warstock.

I haven't been doing very well mentally for a very long time, but the medication I was previously on worked, but since they changed it. Over the last year it has been declining worse.

On this day was my appointment and it feels like he is just palming me of like he did the first time I had an appointment. My major concern is no real advice was given and no help was provided, it was a meaningless phone call that left me feeling empty and that no one is ever going to actually ever provide me with some help and support. The only stuff that he must of considered as advice is you just need to stay positive, and what do you want me to do? He couldn't of cared less what help I was seeking. I raised concerns about my medication that I am taking because I feel like they do not work since either the GP or Warstock changed my prescription from the slow releases I was taking before to the ones they palm me off with straight to the pharmacy. So there is no point in taking the ones they offer me.
The GP don't make any appointments with me either and if they happen to get one its across the phone and I have to wait along time for them to call me back. None of them ever listed; including the fact I changed my mobile number, and they still haven't changed my number and continue to call my old number that no longer exists.

The NHS need to review this centre and possibly divert their funding to a different centre with better trained professionals.

Uncaring, disrespectful. Depressing building.

November 23, 2020
Horrible, depressing building. The psychiatrist could not care less when you pour your heart out. He asked what I wanted him to do about it in a disinterested manner. In the end I turned up for an appointment and was told I had been discharged, which I was not informed of. I showed them the appointment letter and they said it was sent by mistake. They did not apologise and seemed accusatory of me somehow. Appalling treatment of vulnerable people who might just be hanging on to life.
The building is disgusting and depressing and they have a bookshelf full of old horror paperbacks in the waiting room which just seems weird and disrespectful of people who might be in a bad place emotionally. This CMHT is not fit for purpose.

My mental health has improved

February 12, 2019
I've been an addict for years, started to come here 1-2 years now. I was in rehab before and it's difficult to get help. When I came out of rehab it took a long time to see a psychiatrist. I now see a psychiatrist every 3 months. I can come and see a duty day nurse in-between if I need to see one, which I find quite helpful. I come to get my injections every 3 weeks and it works fine. I feel things have improved since coming here.
