Computer not up and running for appointments before Xmas. Warned could phone but calls often delayed badly. Could drop in without an appointment and see if anyone available.

Don’t give full support I need.

February 27, 2020
Issues I’ve had, they don’t understand my condition of Asperger’s. Waiting list took weeks to get an assessment and then weeks to get to the sessions, still waiting. They help with my anxiety, can’t fault them. Don’t give full support I need.

Didn't bother to call me for a phone appointment

July 23, 2019
I had a phone appointment which I took some time off of work for. When the appointment time came nobody rang me and after ten mins of waiting I ring the helpline only to be told that the practitioner was with someone else. I understand busy periods however if somebody is committing to improving or seeking help for their mental health and well being I'd assume the practioners would have the decency to actually keep to appointments. It's really dissapointing especially when they can only offer another appointment two weeks from now.

I went through Birmingham Healthy Minds but

May 17, 2018
I went through Birmingham Healthy Minds but they referred me to something I wasn't comfortable with. I went to the Pause in Birmingham City, where it's a walk in but you would see someone different every time. This gave me a choice to when i can talk and see someone when I really need to.

Sometimes we do need to refer to other organisations. This can be because they are funded for different needs or age groups. The Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust operate the Pause service. If you contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045 they will find a person you can speak with at that Trust to help.

Member of staff from BHM visited mother at home. Not seen since August 2016. Came back with a dementia diagnosis and not seen since!

We would need some more details about your mother's care to be able to look into this for you. Could you contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045 so that they can take some more information from you in order to help.

Focus on appointment, not care need

June 10, 2016
Focus on appointment not care need. Cancelled appointment 3 weeks before time. They ignored my GP support referral and discharged me after not attending an appointment I didn't know about.
