One month in and it's been really good.
November 20, 2023
It's been really good. I am one month in. I have fact to face counselling which is really really helpful. The referral was quite quick. It took a couple of weeks. I was on the waiting list in May and wasn't seen until the October. I wasn't offered any support during that time. Been trying to access support and when I did access it I was caring for my mom who passed away in August. It has been impossible to get any bereavement services.
The people are friendly

Creative support Northfield. I like to attend some of the support groups here. The people are friendly and it takes my mind off things.
They offer support

They've been good. Sometimes it can be a bit of a struggle to get through to the crisis number but they offer me support and give me exercises to do.
Not very great

Not very great. All is remote, no face to face services & they only keep you on for a number of weeks before discharging you.
Horrendous

Horrendous. Very judgmental therapist for taking therapy. They can’t provide support to different backgrounds. Felt like a one size fits all approach. Could not support me or relate to parts of my culture.
Outstanding

I suffer from extreme anxiety and OCD, this is something that has been with me since I was a child. BHM are outstanding, she was a massive help, more than she will ever know. I started seeing her face to face in February 2020 but then moved to telephone calls as it was the first lockdown.
Excellent care

Excellent care for both my husband and I across a range of services here including group sessions, CBT and counselling.
Mixed
April 5, 2021
Mixed - they were okay, but very slow to follow up, limited success, and I had problems with them sending things to the wrong address even after multiple conversations/reassurances. Additionally, my partner attended and was given group therapy - couldn't attend due to work shifts as a nurse clashing with the session dates/times, then was told she'd been withdrawn and would need to start over if she wanted to continue. Not necessarily the fault of BHM itself

No help waste of assessment but hey ho they getting their fat salaries telling someone to go st martins in bullring for help what do this person actually do job wise sit in comfy office warming the radiator picking and choosing who to help I felt I was going to get help until I mentioned what faith I am two assessment in two weeks nothing came of it my gp thinks how strange they do good works with chronic fatigue and pain management sad really because I know not all their staff are helpless apart from this they have some lovely staff who have been quite helpful not on this occasion though o well back to gp
very unhelpful

I gave up after 2 telephone assessments as I didn't see how answering the same questions every few weeks was supposed to help me. I got no advice on how to manage my ptsd symptoms and was left to manage them by myself.
