City Hospital

From preassessment to surgery. The multidisciplinary team were amazing. I'm in fact a member of staff in theatres and understand fully how the BTC model works. Overall all I can say it makes me feel very proud to be part of the city team.

I had a planned csection delivery with my second child at city hospital. Katherine Gutteridge was extremely supportive of my needs during pre op appointments. On the delivery day I could not have asked for more dedicated, supportive and caring staff. They were all extremely professional and kind despite being very stretched.

First port-of-call reception, Dermatology Department Sheldon block, most unwelcoming I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment, had to wait 15 minutes standing at reception until a member of staff appeared with a comment to myself there is a bell you know and your appointment isn't until 09:00 anyway!!! Nice service very professional just what you need when your ill. The rest of my appointment I received very good care, but I really feel that you need to sort out the first port of call/meet and greet part of your service so that patients are not made to feel like they are an inconvenience!!!

I had surgery and was taken to d25 soon after. The staff were very thoughtful and looked after me very well.

poor telephone answering service

My son arrived early by 3 weeks, I also had diabetes because of the pregnancy. Out patient clinics were busy but I always felt able to ask questions and get answers. Ultra-sound service was great too. I felt looked after and when my baby had to be admitted to SCUBU following delivery again always felt in the loop.

The staff and areas I experienced were busy and understandably having to deal with multiple patients, I would (and have) recommended the maternity service to my friends,

Saw 3 people in 45 minutes including X-ray and X-ray feedback. Very efficient.

I had problems since I was in my teens which no tests were carried out on yet they gave me loads of different tablets experimenting on me until my eye sight went blurry.

I seen a gynaecologist for years who said I was fine even though I could not conceive for a child. I am now 29 and can't have kids and the ivf clinic said a couple of years ago they could of got me pregnant. Over 10 years I was seeing a gynaecologist and he assured me I was fine it's all about room temperatures. Now it's too late :'(
my great nan went to that hospital and never came out alive and a few years later my nan went in only in her 50's and never came out either. The place is a curse to your family's, you would better off taking them straight to switzerland and avoid the false hope.

sheer hell staff don't know how to use equipment consultant don't know what to do equipment used which say do not use unless calibrated (hell)

Eight weeks on from giving birth and I've only just recovered from the experience,I understand childbirth is not a walk in the park,but I feel if the staff were not so negligent and paid attention to the needs of their patients,myself and other patients would not have to suffer the physical and emotional pain that we had to suffer,due to so called trained professionals incompetence.
