Aug 16 I was advised by my MS nurse to get my urine sample to my GP to ensure that I didn't have an infection before I took the dose of my steroids which could have made me worse. GP practice refused to take my sample. This has happened the 2nd time. GP should know how important this is for someone with my condition. In may 16 when I did have an infection the GP wrote to my hospital about giving me antibiotics which my ms nurse recommended to fight the infection but my GP failed to prescribe this to me. Staff are rude especially the practice manager. I have mobility issues and when I visited at one time and stood at the disabled desk the manager refused to see me at reception just because I was not on a wheelchair!? When I tried to explain about having an invisible illness she just would not listen to me and argued with me I'm which I was embarrassed with all the people in waiting area. A very inconsiderate place which I will never recommend to anyone. I am now considering to change my GP practice. Even my MS nurse at city hospital knows about my difficulties with Handsworth Medical Practice and asked me to report him because he is failing the basics- through his practice manager and rude staff who are not willing to listen. And I don't use the practice often but when I do this is the drama which I don't need suffering from this devastating illness.
