Our mother was on end of life care but the fantastic care by all the staff at VL and she was taken off end of life , without them she would not be here today , excellent team can’t praise them enough , thank you doesn’t really do it .

The care they show to not only the residents but to family members is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. I have always been made welcome.

Never a problem popping in at any time with parcels for mom,always kept informed by the management and staff,feel fortunate to have found Victoria lodge for my mom.Well done everyone for your wonderful care of your clients and there families x

Mum has received the best of care, it truly is her home. The staff are caring , supportive and considerate not only to Mum but to me as her daughter. Victoria Lodge is like home from home my Nan attended here before passing away a year ago. All the staff have the residents interests at heart. The care they provide is top class. Nothing is too much to ask my Nan loved it.

Our Mum moved into Victoria Lodge in the autumn of 2016, the staff showed great compassion to Mum and the immediate family,they cared for Mum in the must professional way but also with love and understanding right the way through her stay and supported her with the highest of end of life care.

My mother- in- law lived at Victoria Lodge for 6 years until she passed away in June 2020. I have continued in my role as Relatives' and Friends' Coordinator which has been an important role during the current pandemic. The owner told my mother- in - law when she moved in, that this was her home and so it proved. She was loved and cared for by the staff as if she was in her own home with her own family. During the first lockdown, we were not concerned that we couldn't visit because we knew she was so well looked after and so well loved. As Relatives and Friends Coordinator, it has been essential to keep all families up to date with everything that has been happening at Victoria Lodge. Usually new relatives would have had the opportunity to meet me, the staff and other families in the home but this has not been possible. I keep in touch with everyone through email and the monthly newsletters. In my mind, the most important thing about Victoria Lodge is that it not only cares for its residents, but supports and cares for their relatives and the staff who look after them too. An outstanding care home.

My mother moved to VL on the first day of lockdown in March 2020. She has received excellent care and has thrived in her time there, even if her dementia has progressed significantly. The staff have ensured that she has been kept safe, well fed and stimulated during this dreadful time. They have always put her needs and safety first
