I am very disappointed by the standards of care. They are very poor.
The psychiatrists always prescribe medication without doing medical checks... on me. One of my medications called Q, you must not take if pregnant and I have found the doctors are happy to prescribe this without asking my medical background.
Having a long history of suicide attempts the psychiatrists only prescribe me a week worth of medication. But failed to consider the SAFETY that if I misuse my weeks medication, then the medication they have prescribed is then an overdose and this is endangering my safety.
The psychiatrists don't monitor my medication, evidently the psychiatrists ask me how much medication I have. As a patient with History of suicide I shouldn't be leading the doctors to how much medication I have as this could allow me to cause possible harm to myself. As psychiatrists I believe they should know how much I have.
Do they not keep an inventory book?
They forgot to prescribe my medications multiple times, left me with two weeks without medication and I kept chasing it up. Left me with bad hallucinations.
Being a patient who has severe anxiety and phobias of going to new places, this means I rarely like to leave the house, and yet even though the psychiatrists are aware of this they keep asking me to collect my prescription from the Centre. When I remind them that I'm scared to go there...
Then the psychiatrists recommended I get my friends to pick up my prescription. Firstly it's not appropriate for friends to be seeing my mental prescriptions/has the risk of prescription abuse by others been considered?
Example
If the worst was to happen and my friend used my prescription to collect my medication this would be easy as they have my address, name, second name, found on the prescription and could pretend to me). Can't say the dog ate my prescription can I?
But the psychiatrists are friendly.
Will pass on my concerns to care commission.

I have been see by a consultant and one member of her team. The consultant has told me that she was not there to "pander to patients’ requests". She is a psychiatrist, I have asked that, although she treats me for 'depression and anxiety', she takes into account the fact that I have been diagnosed with ADHD. Her response is that she does not anything about ADHD.
The doctor kept interrupting me, when I spoke to him in a harsh tone, not raising with my voice, or insulting him in any way, he called security and said he needed someone present. I did not object to that. A different doctor had a sarcastic smile on his face during the whole consultation, which made it impossible to speak to him openly. Every consultation there sends me into a panic, and they are supposed to treat me for that?!

They have inhouse and staff that are temporary which can be unreliable. You have to chase up your nurses. When I do see someone they do give me good advice. They are understanding and it's always face to face appointments. I see my psychiatrist there too and pick up medication from the centre. It is far out from where I live but they always have it ready for me.

This is not a mental health service they like to play god with your human rights to medication and decide when they take it away from you despite having a diagnosis, they don’t offer any help or support whatsoever. The receptionist is rude and needs training in how to treat people with respect and privacy. They lie they tell you one thing and then later change their mind and do something else, honestly this clinic needs inspecting and closed down it is not fit for purpose

No response to complaint put in about my son being discharged from the service and his appointee not being informed. He was not given medication recommended by 3 psychiatrists, no support given to him he is suicidal and clinically depressed and could harm other people in the community. Appalling that the most vulnerable in society receive the worst care. I have tried to contact the practice manager for the past 4 months I did not even receive an acknowledgment to my emails. I left numerous messages with admin staff and still no reply! Disgraceful how people are treated.

I had a 6 month appointment I got the month wrong my doctor knows I can't remember anything I was struggling and waiting for my appointment to come around then I got a message that I missed my appointment so I'm off there books, I haven't left my house since December everyone keeps saying when do you see you're Dr I said March but I got it wrong it was February and I missed it I didn't do that on purpose I attend all my appointments, at least they should find out why you missed your appointment and then make a decision about taking off the books I'm so upset I haven't slept .

Very poor communication with my GP. They don't answer the phone and don't reply to your emails. Only Seen for 20 minutes by the psychiatrist in the last year. I have had no follow ups.

Really helpful. I have been in remission for 2 years but they touch base every 6 months with psychiatrists and see how I'm getting on. Very happy with them.

Felt like that were on your side and want to help you. Other things they do are more questionable.They gave me and my partner the same psychologist, didn't think they could do that.

I go there for injections every fortnightly and they are good accessible. Keep me informed and treat me with respect really.
