Left without medication

I had a mental breakdown when I was 19 and then another one 5 years later. I have since been treated at Warstock Lane CMHT. I have been diagnosed with psychosis and severe depression. I haven’t been to GP to talk about mental health as was bought straight to Warstock Lane as I was in crisis.
At Warstock CMHT I never liked my psychiatrist, so I had to write a letter for them requesting that I see a different practitioner. She never engaged with me or seem to care at all. They rang back and apologised. Now I am seeing a nurse, not a psychiatrist. The nurse has reduced my anti-depressants and I feel much better, as I was on them for over 10 years. I see my nurse every 3 months. I am here today to collect my medication. My medication was meant to arrive yesterday but it didn’t, I chased up about it but no one called me back and it really got on my nerves. Due to my medication issue, I have been really stressed. I came here to collect my medication one day late but turns out it isn’t ready today either so I am left without any medication and feel really stressed about this and having to constantly chase it. They know I am due to have my medicines so they should sort it out.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are seeing our nurse regularly and are feeling much better. We can find out why your medication was delayed but we will need some more information from you. If you could contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045 they will be able to look into this for you. They can check with our Pharmacy team to find out why it was delayed. Sometimes your GP may agree to prescribe your medication and this may be worth asking your nurse about.

No letter about appointment

I made an appointment 4 weeks ago to see my GP, as I was struggling with my mental health. I got to see the nurse and not a GP, she was really understanding and referred me to Warstock Lane CMHT. It took 4 weeks to actually being seen, it felt like a very long time to be left and so, I found it very difficult to cope. I had to go and see the GP again after 3 weeks as I was really struggling. They gave me antidepressants but they haven’t made any difference yet. On the same night when I initially went to see my GP, I received a call from Warstock CMHT crisis team giving me all emergency contact details but no one spoke to me. I only found out about my appointment today at Warstock as I called them, they never sent me any letters.

Thank you for your feedback. If you could phone our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045 they can check what happened to your appointment letter and let you know about any future appointments. They can also check your address details are correct on our system. We are sorry for the delay in gaining an appointment at Warstock Lane but we have very high demand at the moment and there is a short delay in our first appointments. Disgusting

I am really worried about my sister who clearly isn’t well due to her ongoing behaviour and delusions. The psychiatrist that she sees at Warstock Lane has said that she is well. She hasn’t been taking her medication and there are lots of signs that she is really very poorly. Some of these are damaging to her health and that of the people around her. All I want is for her Home Treatment Team and CPN to be reinstated and for the psychiatrist at Warstock Lane to take this seriously.

Poor, constant cancellations of appointments

I work full-time and try to arrange visits on my rare days off. This is impossible at Warstock as they constantly cancel previously agreed appointment dates at the last moment.
