Dirty seats and only expensive food available

The seats were terribly dirty and I found myself having to bring baby wipes with me to wipe them down. I was that disgusted with them they looked as if they had never been cleaned.

I was waiting about an hour which was difficult with a child.

Food and drink was available but at an extortionate price.

Long waiting times

Roughly have been waiting 12 - 14 hours. 4 hours for ambulance, 4 hours in a corridor, 4 hours been seen by someone where by results haven't been given
It's not good for an 80 year old who suffers from many disabilities
Spending lots of my life waiting around in hospital or waiting for ambulances

Poor signing in process

The signing in at the hospital wasn't efficient due to not being able to work it out, made appointment difficult and longer than needed.
Waited about an hour which wasn't too bad but could be better.

Waiting times can be lengthy and would be good if patients were made aware when waiting times are in place.

Not very well signposted but very respectful staff

Staff have been very respectful and reception staff have been great. They are caring.
Waiting area is not very well signed off and doesn't have different sections.
There's nowhere to get a glass of water.
Toilets are horrific and some of the seats are broken.
A little bit off clarity would be good, why not separate one waiting area to triage and then another to wait to be seen
I was called by name.
Even a glass of water would be better than vending machines.

Happy with everything

Hearing aid services

Dad happy with service.
Comes regularly to get batteries for hearing aid.
Reception is very helpful.
Normally not a long waiting time
I speak Urdu and hospital find staff that speak my language.
We are happy with everything

Good Service and nice staff

I had hysterotomy done at city in July 2017. The surgeon was very much to the point and as direct and positive as he could be to deliver bad news. He said, I am very sorry, it is cancer, but we will sort it. It made me feel more confident. I also had chemotherapy at City Hospital. I was offered an opportunity to have a look around the facilities before starting the treatment made a difference. Staff were very efficient, I had a reaction to chemo and I had people around me immediately. The receptionist was lovely person and known to everyone, very nice people.
