Good communication, quick referral
August 7, 2023
Haven't been for a few years as we usually go to Russells Hall, but they have referred for hearing aids. The referral has taken a couple of weeks and the communication has always been good.
Polite friendly staff, long waits for bloods
August 4, 2023
We've been several times and it's been really good. The waiting times can be quite long especially when waiting for blood tests, but everything else is usually running on time. The staff are polite and friendly. We usually see Urology and Nephrology.
Waiting times can be long

Been a couple of times, it's nice, it's very good. Staff are really good, it's just the waiting times that can be long.
Taken 7 months to get an appointment

Second visit today and its been good. Pretty good communication from the dentistry department. It's taken around 7 months to get the appointment for today, it's taken a while.
Over all a good service
July 21, 2023
Son has been coming since birth, he had club feet initially. He's seen around 10 different consultants. The experience of coming here has been up and down, the communication is getting better, nice to be back seen in person than on the phone. Had two appointments today and each department is separate and do not talk to each other. The play centre is not available to outpatients. He is well looked after and the staff are great, overall a very good service.
Nurse didn't see ADHD as an illness
July 21, 2023
My son has been coming since 2 weeks old but today I've come with my middle child from a referral sent from the GP for a dietary condition resulting from autism, which we've waited 8 months for. One instance, the nurse was not understanding terminology and was not seeing ADHD as not an illness.
Miscommunication between everyone

Children’s hospital discharged son during Covid. Even through still needed the services. Miscommunication between everyone and then have had to be referred again.

Accident and emergency services

A&E, long times to wait 3 to 5 hours. I feel like it could be better. They could let me know what is going on and how long we will end up waiting.

Helpful hospital

My great-grandson was born with a cleft on his throat. Had a tracheostomy in June and just started eating and this isn't a problem. The school is trying to get funding for training to help staff be able to change his trach. School are fighting this and seeing MP soon to discuss it further.
