Brilliant

Hospital transport

This morning I called ambulance transport and what I got on the end of the line was a person she was most unpleasant and argumentative over everything I said so to avoid any further confrontation I hung up. I called back a couple of hours later and got a different person, I've had him help me before and he is always kind, polite and easy to deal with. As soon as I heard his voice I was happy it wasn't her again.
Why can't everyone be like him

Rude

I get ambulance transport almost every week as I'm in a wheelchair, I phoned to book for some this morning and what a person I got on the end of the phone, she was a proper nasty piece of work and I'm 99% sure I've had her before.
She is just damn right rude and nasty. To avoid any further confrontation with her I put phone down.

They don't come out as they don't think he is disabled enough. They used to and now they don't.

I used to qualify but all of a sudden they said I wasn't eligible even though I'm registered disabled.

They wouldn't allow my daughter to use it!

Hospital transport
May 12, 2025
Daughter is totally incapacitated with a serious knee injury, and cant bear weight, was told by a rude lady she doesn't qualify because when she came out of hospital previously she used an uber xl, but what she didn't realize was that my daughter was literally on intravenous morphine which was still working to get her into the uber, shocking service, I'm going to have to cancel her appointment with the hospital as we have no means of getting her there.

Can't have someone with me

You can't have someone with you when you use them. It's hard being on your own when you're anxious and sometimes I forget what is being said in appointments so it would be good if you could have someone with you.

Don't allow a carer to come with me

It works but they don't allow a carer with me and I have to leave the door open if I needed because I need a carer with me and I hope no one comes in.

Can't rely on them

You can't rely on them, they get there over an hour too soon. I end up going in right away and I waited for 2 hours for them to come and take me home.

Six hours waiting to go home.

Taxi came for me and got here bang on time. It was an in and out appointment, Ambulance called to take me home. I have been sat next to reception all day. Receptionist has kept me supplied with tea and chased up ambulance at least six times. Can’t fault hospital staff or Drivers it’s the faceless suits that let the NHS down.

Relies on hospital transport

My brother who has had two strokes and can not use his right leg or right arm depends on hospital transport to get him to appointments but sometimes they cancel he only gets out of the house when he goes to appointments as he lives above a shop with very steep stairs so his family can not take him out.
