Bad experience today
August 6, 2021
Bad experience today. Rang to make an appointment with the nurse. Held on the phone for a total of 45 minutes, was cut off twice before I finally managed to get through. On line system had been suspended. I understand why they have had to make changes to the appointments system, it may be helping them but it's certainly not making things any easier for patients.
What have you done!!!

I cannot believe you cannot phone for g p appointment no more. What about disabled and elderly who cannot do it.. I've tried for days to get appointment total joke
Poor communication
June 10, 2021
Communication with and from the practice is poor and difficult, and doesn't seem to be patient-centered. Medication on my repeat list has changed without consultation or notification or explanation, and requests for explanation have not been answered. While phone appointments are flexible and helpful, they are not made for specific times which is not at all helpful for people with work/child responsibilities. Even 30 min time slots would be an improvement. Medication has been changed against NICE guidance for diabetes management (that suggests treatment decisions should be made WITH the patient, and take account of patient requests).

Always very friendly on the phone, usually can get an appointment same day if I ring in time. GP's and nurses always helpful.
Lack of care and understanding

Can't get a appointment , lack of care and understanding
Receptionists are courteous
April 22, 2021
However busy the Receptionists are courteous even when the question has an unsatisfactory outcome, which cannot be levelled at any of the practice staff as not in their jurisdiction. The Doctors are most patient and understanding during telephone contacts.

Poor
March 23, 2021
Poor, you can only get an appointment if you phone at 8am, However I am working at that time & cannot afford to spend half hour on hold for an appointment. In addition if you do get an appointment they call you back, but if you miss the call than it’s a problem. My job requires a lot of time on the phone to customers & colleagues.
Making an appointment impossible
March 12, 2021
I know there is a pandemic and staff are short, but I have tried to get an appointment through Patient Access on line for months, Ringing from my mobile I get to option 1 or 2 it cuts off that is before queuing for an appointment which are rare as so many people trying to get one. My calls cost 50p a minute. My friend rang for me, after 20 mins on hold she got me a telephone consultation who suggested to call at 8am for blood tests, I said I have problem getting through on mobile, GP said he would get someone to call, 5 days later no call, so my friend called again to be told there are no nurse appointments for another month. I even wrote a letter and put in suggestions box, I have heart condition, heart been out of rhythm for months, I have lost 3/4 of a stone, appetite gone, diarrhoea, fatigue, pain in side and ache under left breast, but don't really want to go to A & E as they have enough to do at the QE hospital. My good friend is going to ring every day until she gets me an appointment. I want to change surgeries but don't know if all surgeries are the same. It is not the reception staff fault it is the system to make appointments and there are no enough appointments given out per day to go round the community,
