Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC)

I was referred by my optician as I lost vision in my right eye, I waited 7 hours and no answers just tests, I was asked to come back the next day at 8:30am, they repeated the same test and no updates. Rude staff, no care at all for the patient, no communication, no updates and the receptionist was the rudest of them all, no consideration or any information interrupted me when I tried requesting updates.
I am a very patient person however, this clinic was awful. I still can’t see from my right eye and have to now request a new referral.

My father had eye surgery at BMEC and is very pleased with the outcome. Excellent treatment.

My grandmother had her cataracts removed by a highly skilled surgeon and now her eyesight is back to normal.

It's good there.

My sister was treated for an eye infection. She received good care.

My sister attended eye A&E and was seen quickly. She was provided with excellent care and treatment. She had a follow up appointment given to her too.

I went there for an eye infection and the care and treatment was excellent.

A long wait, a year and a half for the appointment so will be a long wait for hard lenses to be made. They're trying their best but the wait is quite frustrating.

Sometimes it can be slow as it's a busy hospital. The care is very good. They have made me much better and stopped me going blind. They have been very good.

Really good and they don't take long to make the lenses. They see me regularly. Sometimes you have to wait a while but the staff are very good.
