Everything was good

General outpatients and hospital-based consults

I had my bloods taken here and screening tests. Everything was good. Communication and support was excellent and all my results were sent to my GP within 3 working days.

A&E is horrendous

Emergency department (including A&E)
June 18, 2025
A&E is horrendous, I waited 7 hours for blood test results and I had a banging headache. They did an ECG straight away. I was there at 3am and by 10am they said if you still have a bad headache go to the GP. Pretty useless really. They need better communication.

Accommodating for my daughter

Emergency department (including A&E)
June 17, 2025
We went to A&E after my daughter who had ADHD and autism swallowed a blade. A&E was overcrowded and I explained my daughters situation. They let us in and she was x-rayed within 45 minutes. They didn't send us back to the A&E waiting area. They let us stay in a more quiet space which helped her a lot to sleep. She was very calm. We had to then wait 6 and a half hours to see a doctor. They then finally told us to return the next day. They assessed her again and they told us to go back home. She finally passed the blade with minimal injury and harm. If they had seen her earlier they could have probably removed it with an endoscopy.

My elderly mother was taken in via Paramedics

Emergency department (including A&E)
June 9, 2025
The staff & medical care was good however the design of it was a headache. Also not suitable for disabled as my Mother is. No disabled wheelchairs, no suitable chair in discharge lounge. Also no 24hr discharge dept, it closes at 7pm. Transport home arrangements dismal & unreliable. Also the single ensuite room seem fine till you are stuck in one for 3/4 days with no radio, or tv access. Really not suitable for everyone; especially elderly as the company on an open ward preferable. I think not a lot of thought has gone into the detail. Lacking equipment for elderly with limited mobility, they didn't even have a Gutter Zimmer Frame for my Mother to use for an assessment. Take everything with you if you end up there. The medical care & all staff very good, let down by the building & lack of common sense i.e. equipment & discharge transport.

Terrible and scary

Emergency department (including A&E)
June 7, 2025
The urgent care is definitely not urgent. The wait is too long for very sick people. Staff are rude and incompetent.
Not enough medically trained personnel. No urgency to treat very poorly people. No care, no expertise, no confidence. The buildings are inaccessible. Urgent care is outside on the roof, nay as well have been outside in the street. No access to water/drinks/food. Toilets filthy.
