Completely useless

June 10, 2025
The service is completely useless. Told to contact them in an emergency and every time I have they say they can't help you. No wonder A&E is so busy.

Could not fault the service and kind attention shown to me by staff. My sincere thanks go to all three from the 111 team.

Excellent and great advice

NHS 111 is excellent. Will arrange ambulance if required or advise you to make own way. Great advice prior to reaching A&E.

Called 111 and they made me an appointment at a walk in. It was very straight forward and they acted quickly.

Limited in what they can do

May 28, 2025
They pretty much tell me they're limited to what they can do. They will give you information but won't be able to send you on to anywhere.

Excellent

May 27, 2025
I called them twice today. They were excellent. They told me to call back if it got worse and so I did and they gave me an appointment on the afternoon at the dental hospital as other dentists they gave me wouldn't see me.

Gave me the wrong information

May 27, 2025
I had an issue with them as they gave me two contact details for emergency dentists but when I called them there was a waiting list for the one of 2 years and the other said they didn't do emergencies. So I called them back today and they sent me to the dental hospital.

Very good advice

May 13, 2025
I told them my son had a bump on his head and they said to take him to A&E which we did. They were very good and had no initial wait.

NHS 111

NHS 111 is much more than a helpline – if you're worried about an urgent medical concern, you can call 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser. Depending on the situation, the NHS 111 team can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or even a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one. NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary.
