Speak up and help improve health and social care in Birmingham
We all love the NHS and value social care support in our city, but let’s make it even better this year. We want to hear from everyone in Birmingham about your experiences of health and social care, and the changes that you would like to see made locally, as part of the #SpeakUp2020 campaign.
We’re particularly interested in those who feel like their voices often aren’t heard, such as people who are homeless, refugees or asylum seekers, are experiencing problems with drugs or alcohol, isolated, long term unemployed, carers or anyone facing hardship or tough times.
Health and social care services need to hear from the people who use them about how they can improve.
We want to know about your experiences, long or short, good or bad, at all stages of care, including:
- How easy was it to access the help and support you needed?
- What was your experience of care like?
- How did you feel about the further treatment, care or support you were offered?
By taking just five minutes to speak up about what’s worked and what can be improved, you can help future services improve care for you, your loved ones, and your community. It’s that simple.
Andy Cave, Healthwatch Birmingham Chief Executive, said:
‘It’s important for everyone who has used health and social care services in Birmingham to leave feedback with us so we can help things to improve for you, your family and friends. But many of the most vulnerable people in our communities, who rely on these services the most, don’t know how to make their voices heard. Everyone deserves the best possible care – supporting the #SpeakUp2020 campaign will ensure everyone gets it.’
