CQC – Share your views on their next phase of regulation
December 23, 2016
From the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The CQC want your views on changes the organisation is planning to the way they regulate health and adult social care services.
The way that health and social care is delivered is changing, and we want to develop our approach to respond to emerging new care models. These plans reflect the priorities we set out in our five year strategy for a more targeted, responsive and collaborative approach.
We’ll publish a second consultation in Spring 2017, which will focus on how we regulate adult social care and primary medical services.
What this consultation covers
Seeking views on:
- principles for how we’ll regulate new models of care and complex providers
- changes to our assessment frameworks across all sectors to reduce complexity and create more consistency
- how we’ll register services for people with learning disabilities
- the way we’ll regulate NHS trusts and foundation trusts from April 2017 – including how we might change our approach to rating them.
This consultation closes on Tuesday 14 February 2017.
