NHS England publishes new guidance on public engagement
From NHS England.
New guidance has been published about how Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and NHS England should engage people in work to improve health and care services. The guidance sets out steps they can take as part of their legal duty to involve people in their work.
This guidance sets out 10 key actions for CCGs and NHS England on how to embed involvement effectively, including involving people in governance, demonstrating public involvement in annual reports and advancing equality and reducing health inequalities.

Healthwatch Birmingham Quality Standard
Healthwatch Birmingham has developed a Quality Standard for using patient and public insight, experience and involvement to reduce health inequality.
The Standard provides health and social care organisations with a description of “what good looks like” when involving the public in decision-making, addressing health inequality and improving health outcomes including increased independence and preventing worsening ill-health.
