Can you help with developing Dementia Support Services?
Do you worry about developing Dementia?
Are you concerned about what services there are for you living with Dementia or for those you care for with the condition?
If you are interested, this is your opportunity to refine the key priorities and goals of Dementia services in Birmingham and Solihull as identified by health and social care partners. The focus will be to improve care and support for citizens, starting with activities aimed at preventing dementia, through to care at the end of people’s lives.
The strategy outlines four fundamental priorities:
- Information which focuses on prevention of dementia, early intervention and support.
- Access to a timely diagnosis with pre-diagnostic and post-diagnostic support
- Prevention of crisis and supporting people with dementia, their families and communities.
- Improving the quality of personalised care and support planning for people with dementia, including planning for the end of life.
