Share your views on NHS orthodontic services
The local NHS is conducting a listening exercise on orthodontic services. If you, a family member or friend have used orthodontic services in Walsall or Birmingham, the NHS would like to hear your views.
You can complete their survey on this NHS webpage. There is an easy read version of the survey that can be accessed on this page. The surveys are open until Sunday 7 January 2024.
What are orthodontic services?
Orthodontic treatment (usually with braces) is used to improve the appearance and alignment of crooked, protruding or crowded teeth, and to correct problems with the bite of the teeth. Orthodontic treatment is usually only started after most of a child’s adult teeth have started to come through.
Why is the NHS doing this work?
This work is happening because some NHS orthodontic providers have recently decided to stop providing orthodontic services in Walsall and Birmingham. This means the NHS needs to find other providers and wants to understand the experiences of patients and the public so we can keep improving the service provided.
