We want to hear the views of the Somali community in Birmingham

The unequal impact of Covid-19 on Black and Asian people has exposed health inequalities in Birmingham. We need to hear experiences of health and social care from the Somali community, so we can ensure services can be improved to meet their needs.

If you are Somali, and living in Birmingham, sharing your experiences will help us understand:

  • Your experiences of accessing, and the quality of, health and social care services in Birmingham
  • If you face any challenges or barriers that affect your experiences of health and social care.
  • If, and how, changes to the way health and social care services were delivered during the Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on you.
  • If you face any  barriers to information, support and engagement with health and social care services.
  • Where improvements can be made.

Your feedback will remain anonymous and will not affect your current or future care.

How can you share your experiences?

We would like to speak to you via phone or video call (e.g WhatsApp or Zoom). Interviews will take place in September 2020.

Limited spaces are available so please get in touch as soon as you can. We are also offering a small voucher (ASDA or Morrisons) to participants.
