Given cream and told to buy tablets

January 23, 2024
I had a bad back pain then my GP was in Coventry due to a move to Birmingham recently. I called my GP in Coventry but they had no appointments. I went to the walk in at Boots. The nurse called me in, checked me and gave me some cream. She wrote what tablets to get on a small piece of paper to purchase over the counter. I wanted my GP records updated to be shown to the Home Office but they aren't entered into my GP records.

They didn't treat me after 2.5 hours wait

November 28, 2023
It's a very long wait. I waited for two and a half hours when I cut my hand and they didn't take me in. I ended up going back to Essex and being hospitalised because I lost a lot of blood and they refused to see me after the wait.

Helpful and accessible.

I went there once and I waited a while but they were good. I had done something to my hand and the service was helpful and accessible.

Give you a note of what to purchase.

They don't have any doctors, just nurses. I had digestive issues so it was recommended I go to the walk in. They were not that helpful, they just write things down on a piece of paper for you to buy over the counter. They don't spend much time on you they just ask a few questions and then recommend what you can buy over the counter. They also don't log that I have visited the service. So when I visited my GP they had no record on the system.

Good if I can't see my GP.

Very good. I just go in there and they'll give me medicine if I need it. It's good if I can't see the GP and they give good advice.
