Delayed Medication causing Stress

September 28, 2018
My daughter has been sectioned twice at Zinnia & Orsborn house. My daughters aftercare was very slack. I had to fight to get my daughters medication for home treatment, from Orsborn house. I complained to Pals and a manger come out to my home. My daughters medications were sorted out. Since then there is always problems to get my daughters medicines from them and often she went without her medicines. Still not straightforward to obtain medication from them. Why can’t GP do this? We are stressed, as having to constantly overcome hurdles to get medicines on time. My daughter received good support from home group UPS service and without their help I don’t know where I would be.

We are really sorry to hear this. We know how important it is to get medication arranged promptly. Our PALS Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045 will be able to investigate if you could give them the details of the medication and any problem encountered. With some medications GP's ask that the Mental Health Trust monitors the prescribing and monitoring, but with other medications it is possible that they will agree to a transfer of care. We are pleased that the Homegroup UPS is helping you and your daughter. We often get positive feedback about their service and we will let them know.
