They are willing to listen and take time

Doctors and nurses are very helpful and can speak other languages as well which is very helpful for patients and their families.

They listen to you and explain everything very well, which is excellent from patients point of view.

Experience at Karis Medical centre was very helpful doctors were available to give health checks and write out prescription and offer advice on surgery modern health, sexual health and pregnancy and hospital referrals

There is a long waiting time to see a GP e.g. 10- 14 days. I use patient access website to book appointments and for my partner who is deaf, however you cannot book a BSL interpreter online. I would now have to ring the GP center to book an appointment and they automatically book an interpreter. But it is difficult ringing reception as they are not deaf aware, deaf awareness training is essential fro them.

Have been attending here for nearly 20 years and would not wish to move. Doctors take time to listen to me and I leave feeling I have been cared for as I needed and given necessary medication. My husband who has a rare condition is in a care home at present and my G P has been very supportive. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

Having recently moved to Birmingham, I can only say how fortunate I am to have found Karis (and only by chance by reading the ratings and reviews on NHS Choices).

It covers practically all the bases you might expect from a super sized GP surgery, offering: a large general practice, stop smoking clinic, mental health support (via the Edgbaston Wellbeing Hub), sexual health and travel advice, a pharmacy, on site nursing et al. A one stop health shop for the community and quite possibly the exemplar of the future of primary healthcare.

I strongly recommend Karis.
