Good experience

August 5, 2022
I did it online as the phone lines were really busy. When they called back, I managed to speak to a doctor from the Badger Clinic. He said if things get worse to go to A&E or ring my own doctors for an appointment to be seen face to face for a referral to be made to gynaecology.

Not much help

They aren't much help. I phone them for a toothache and they tell me to ring my dentist after explaining to them that they won't give me an appointment.

Amazing, They're efficient, see you straight away after a call. They take the right actions, I have a child - it makes a difference.

Really good service. Call handlers are usually good but can be rude sometimes.

This is not OK.

April 29, 2021
I have always found my mediacal practice to be excellent but Covid restrictions have made it impossible to see a doctor about a problem with my achilles tendon. The 111 service told me that it was not urgent enough to talk to a medical practitioner. As I also have arthritis in the knee of the same leg I have been finding difficulty in walking so was mentally very upset about this lack of access to a doctor. This is not OK.

NHS 111

NHS 111 is much more than a helpline – if you're worried about an urgent medical concern, you can call 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser.

Depending on the situation, the NHS 111 team can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or even a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one.

NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary.
