Mum is in the best place she could be.
A broken hip and treatment in hospital after a fall, resulted in my Mum being placed in the NHS unit upstairs in the Perry Tree Centre. Whilst there she was well cared for and every effort was made to get her up and about again, we were very pleased with the level of care she received. She wasn't going to be able to return to her looking after herself, in her flat, so we felt very lucky a place became available downstairs in the residential unit for her. The whole facility itself is very secure, a visitor has to sign in, and be let into the residential unit. We were able to fill her room with her own things, photos, pictures, bed and furniture to make it as homely as possible. The facilities are excellent, and the place is consistently clean and tidy. The food is good and varied, a restaurant is available outside the unit, where you can take your loved one, or just have a meal yourself: always good food and value for money. I have always been happy and never had any concerns with the quality of care my Mum has received. The staff are committed in what they do, and nothing is too much trouble, if you have any questions you can be certain a member of staff will go to great lengths to provide an answer. My Mum celebrated her ninetieth birthday back in April, and we booked the function room for a family celebration. Every help was given to us to decorate the room, and the spread put on by the restaurant was nothing short of excellent. My Mum was overwhelmed by it all on the day. Trips out are occasionally arranged and organised very well, which my Mum thoroughly enjoys. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at the Perry Tree Centre, for the tremendous efforts they go to in providing my Mum with a level of care second to none, and a caring environment that she thrives in. Thankyou.
