Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

I had physiotherapy sessions at ROH. They provide a good service. The physiotherapists were friendly, helpful and encouraging.

I saw 11 different doctors about my knee problems. The 10th doctor I saw stated that I hadn't attended before and could not find any of my records. I have found the whole process complicated and lengthy due to the number of different medical professionals I have seen here. There is a complete lack of communication between hospitals and departments and even between doctors working in the same hospital in the same department. It feel really disappointed by the service I have received.

The parking is a nightmare. I hate it, so I try not to go there unless I absolutely have to. I try to get someone to drop me off and pick me up. The situation with parking at this hospital is disgraceful.

I had an operation at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and the service and care was so good it was like a 5* hotel stay. I had my own private room and the food was great. The nurses were lovely I had 5 or 6 looking after me. At one point I pulled a cord accidently and within seconds 2 nurses ran in to check on me.

I attended the ROH for their pain management service, where I saw physiotherapists and a psychologist. They were good but the reality is that pain management does not solve your problems.

I have been waiting for physio for too long. I have waited for so long with no information given or support in the meantime. It's very hard.

I'm having hydrotherapy for fibromyalgia and it's really good and helpful for my condition when you are referred on for it. It's only offered for a short time though, then you have to pay for it yourself.

I had an operation on my shoulder. They were brilliant. I ended up being admitted after a spinal block when I was supposed to be a day case which annoyed the nurses. On the ward the care was good and the nurses were good too. I felt bad when I had to pee in a bottle and they were so understanding.

Been coming here for the last two years and they're very good. Very efficient and the appointments are quick. The staff are attentive and informal. They know exactly what the next steps are so all are very good. My appointment from the MRI and today's appointment has been lengthy as I had to wait for 9 weeks. They do their best so I'm not complaining.

I came for an MRI today. So good getting in and out of this hospital. The care is so good.
