Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

Up until about 2 months ago it was fine. My consultant left, I’m 20 weeks post operation and still haven’t been seen by anybody. I’ve been to hydrotherapy this morning and they managed to get me an appointment. Was meant to be seen at 1:30pm don’t know which consultant I am under. That’s if I am under one. Lack of communication in whole of hospital.

Don’t know why my local doctors couldn’t see me. I contacted them a week before my appointment to say I couldn’t make it. They said I missed my appointment. The waiting times are long. Lack of communication , rang me yesterday to ask if I’d be attending my appointment. They should offer phone call consultations, video calls for those that don’t live locally.

Seen fast – which is good. Each time seen by different people. Doesn’t feel personal. Feels very disjointed. No continuity or personalisation of services. Though the consultations are good with staff.

Its been good. Pretty good feeding back information. Good interactions with doctors. I had one appointment at 1:30 and the other at 2:40, so having to wait long time in between. Last time I came early and they fit me in early.

So far – all clearly worked out, came early. Restaurant’s nice. Good communication and correspondence through letters. Referral process from doctors to hospital 6 weeks – going on a bit long process.

Feels as though its personally targeted, we don’t see the same person when we come. If I had a choice we wouldn’t be here but it’s the centre of excellence and best place for my son outside of London.

Good easy enough, it’s got a little shop. Interactions with doctors good, but can be waiting a long time. Most of the times I have to wait a while.

Good nice people are very friendly. Doctors appointment this morning and referred this afternoon. Haven’t had to wait too long for appointment. Not expecting to be seen straight away.

4th time using the hospital – good experience using the hospital, never had a problem. Good interactions with doctors don’t see the same doctor but know the team as l will be having the same operation again.

Everyone has been very good . tickets say void on car park. Everyone has been friendly as helpful as can be. Long way to come from Wakefield / Sheffield. Appreciate having a OP appointment here but would prefer follow up appointments closer to home if possible. Long day - set off at 8am won’t be home by 6pm.
