Been waiting for 2 years

I have been waiting for my knee replacement for the last two years.
Immediately discharged after raising concerns

Sadly nothing has gone well, I have since 2021 had delay after delay I my follow up care, I have never complained but sadly I had too, since doing so though my care has been compromised and I was immediately discharged with an appalling letter from my consultant due to me making a complaint, the problem is though the Trust doesn't care and also (even though I NHS guidelines & others) doesn't see its done anything wrong. As a result my health is getting worse. Sadly you can't complain about the NHS, that is something I learnt the hard way.

Excellent service from assessment nurses who listened to and understood my concerns about the scheduling of my planned knee replacement surgery. Despite pressure on the system they managed to defer my assessment and surgery to allow time for me to care for my husband while he recovers from his surgery while at same time ensuring I didn’t have to go to the ‘back of the queue’.

I go there to have injections in my knees once every 6 months. The doctors and nurses are very helpful.

Being offered a hip resurface rather than a replacement will hopefully mean I can continue with my chosen sport, having a resurface at the home of resurfacing I can’t thank you all enough for the treatment I received from reception to nursing to surgery you are all angels. I have my life back.

Awful waiting times, waited 18 months and still waiting, when you call they are still blaming covid as a backlog, which when I chased up NHS England over the wait times they informed hospitals have been told to stop saying this.
There is no care from this hospital, they just leave patients to suffer and deteriorate.
