Cancelled 3 year check ups

April 23, 2024
I normally have a colonoscopy 3 yearly we’re each time they have removed polyps! I should have had an appointment feb 23!
They finally wrote to me saying they no longer do routine colonoscopies an to contact my gp if any abnormalities! I rang the hospital to say that they were effectively waiting for me to get bowel cancer before they do anything! They disagreed with this but I explained that I have had to have polyps removed each time! If this isn’t done they had previously told me polyps can turn cancerous!! So there is a good chance I do have polyps, if they do start bleeding it’s not a good sign! I contacted my gp as I do bleed, I recorded 13 times in 6 weeks! I also get other symptoms of bloating and stomach pain etc! She referred me to the hospital who sent out so far two bowel cancer screening kits! But I haven’t bled on these occasions!!
So god knows when or if I will get a hospital appointment!

Very good GP. They always listen to our concerns and immediately referred us to hospital whenever needed.

My doctor is brilliant - I love her!

Haven't had a problem with them. My doctor is brilliant - I love her! Just lately there have been no problem calling but you can be number 1 in the queue for an hour. But I am not one to ring up and call all the time.

Have to be first in line to get appointment

I can get appointment. I have to be first in line, if you're not, you've got no chance, got to get ready to camp outside. I can see the GP but it varies.

No customer services & unhelpful staff

February 26, 2019
I have suffered since 29 years of mental health, I can’t go out alone, in crowds, I don't go weddings, funerals. My previous doctor helped me with tablets - they don’t change what I suffer but helped me to live life to my limit but she retired, sold her surgery.
The one I am at now doesn’t listen, others I talk to agree about their different surgeries. All they want to do is cut out what one needs on prescription, they don’t keep up with keeping eye on weight, sugar etc. If one is few minutes late can’t be seen yet can wait an hour to be seen. Receptionist so many unhelpful yet help their friends - one can hear it! No manners to the public, no customer service. Going down the dumps – sorry to say.
