Nurse is good.

September 26, 2023
I visit the dermatology department. I see them every 3 months. Took a long time to be put on the injection but it is working well. The nurse is good and can contact her if I need to ask any questions.

3 year wait for operation

September 26, 2023
I had an operation to remove a basal cell carcinoma. A 3 year wait for an operation the hospital said it would be. They measured it, took photos of it and examined it and sent me home. Before I left they did say that the next time I came there was going to be a surgeon there, but there wasn't. 2 to 3 months later at my next appointment, no surgeon. I turned up, they measured me again, after around 6 months it became really frustrating. I asked to be signed off because of being messed around. My wife, kids and all the people that cared for me told me to go back and get it sorted. But there were too many times I went there and nobody did anything. When they did get around to doing the surgery they did it perfectly. Kept me in overnight. Stay was great.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback about Solihull Hospital - apologies for the delayed response. Whilst we are pleased to hear that the procedure to have a basal cell carcinoma removed and the inpatient stay you eventually had was great we are really sorry to hear that leading up to that there were delays and some confusion over the presence of a surgeon at your appointments

Felt it was a wasted journey.

September 25, 2023
They're okay. We got there after being referred on from 111 service and we were checked out by ANP and said doctor needed to see her at Heartlands. Again seen by an ANP and they said she was fine so just felt it was a wasted journey and I had to take time off for it.

Reception staff are always good at letting me know where mom is. A&E is awesome. I have been there 3 times and they've helped her so much. They have been incredible. The nurses have to put up with so much there.
