How can I get help for my mental health?
Speak to your GP
The first step is usually to speak to your GP, as they can discuss the best path forward with you. They may be able to support you themselves, or refer you to mental health services for ongoing treatment.
In most cases you have the right to choose which service you are referred to.

Some services are available without speaking to your GP
You can access IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) services by self-referring. These are primarily talking therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
