Tandy Court Care Home – Enter and View Report published

August 9, 2017

Following Healthwatch Birmingham’s visit to Tandy Court in Kings Heath Care Home in June 2017 we have now published our Enter and View report.
Enter and View visits are just one of the ways we listen to the experiences of patients and residents using social care services in Birmingham. We published two other Enter and View Reports for a Nursing Home and a Care Home last week which you can find at: https://healthwatchbirmingham.co.uk/about-us/reports/
These reports mainly focus on how the service provider gathers and uses feedback from residents and their relatives. We also looked at resident’s experiences of the quality of care they receive.

Our findings from the Tandy Court visit:
  • The majority of residents at Tandy Court felt staff listened to them and met their care needs.
  • The residents appreciate the efforts of the activities co-ordinator.

Responses and comments by Tandy Court Care Home’s manager are included within the report. This details their action plan to address some of the points raised by the residents during our visit. This includes plans to order new equipment, better communication about staff training and new monitoring systems.
