On-street parking controls in Digbeth

March 6, 2017

From Birmingham City Council

Birmingham City Council is holding a public consultation about parking proposals for the Digbeth area in Birmingham. This consultation is about on-street parking only; off-street car parks and private parking areas would not be affected.
The consultation runs from 10th February –  13th March 2017.
The proposals include introducing a mixture of:

  • Permit parking for local residents and businesses.
  • Pay and display parking.
  • Areas of no waiting (double yellow lines).
Healthwatch Birmingham has been made aware that these proposals may impact patients and service users of an Out of Hours Primary Care service.

This consultation is not about an NHS service, however we have been notified that the proposed changes may impact upon patients and service users in particular, by Badger Group who provide the Out of Hours GP service to over 10,000 individuals per year.
