Oral health in care homes and hospitals : Quality Standard consultation
From the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)
NICE are seeking comments for their draft quality standard which prioritises assessment of care home residents, recording of plans and ensuring support is in place for those who need it. As part of the consultation NICE is asking people to highlight any evidence-based guidance that could be used to develop a statement on daily mouth care in hospitals.
This quality standard covers oral health, including dental health and daily mouth care, for adults in care homes (with and without nursing provision) and for children, young people and adults in hospitals. It describes high-quality care in priority areas for improvement. It is for commissioners, service providers, health, public health and social care practitioners, and the public
- You can comment on the draft quality standard until the 3 February 2017.
