Amberley Court Nursing Home – Enter and View Report published

August 2, 2017

Healthwatch Birmingham has published our Enter and View Report for Amberley Court Nursing Home, following a visit in May 2017.
Enter and View visits are just one of the ways we listen to the experiences of patients and residents using social care services in Birmingham. This is the first in a series of reports due to be published over the next couple of weeks.
These reports mainly focus on how the service provider gathers and uses feedback from residents and their relatives. We also looked at resident’s experiences of the quality of care they receive.

Our findings from the Amberley Court visit:
  • Most of the residents we spoke to felt that resident’s meetings rarely resulted in staff taking action.
  • Although some residents said they felt listened to, many did not.
  • Some residents were happy with the standard of care and their quality of life at Amberley Court. Unfortunately, we also heard many comments indicating that other residents were not satisfied.

Included in the report are comments and responses to our findings by the home’s manager.
