Feedback on NHS 111 and your local GP out of hours service

February 24, 2016

Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are seeking your feedback on NHS 111 and local GP out of hours service.
As lead commissioners of NHS 111 in the West Midlands, the CCG is running a formal process to develop a service that brings NHS 111 and GP out of hours (OOH) services closer together. The aim is to give patients a ‘new front door’ to urgent health services around the clock.
As part of this process the CCG is asking patients for valuable insight into their experience of using NHS 111 and GP out of hours services in the West Midlands. This feedback will form part of the development of the region’s integrated NHS 111 and GP OOH service.

Public involvement in the Procurement Process
The objective of this procurement process for an Integrated Urgent Care Service is to run a competitive process which will deliver a high quality service and will see an award in October/November 2016. The CCG are keen to work closely with the public in order to ensure that the patient ‘voice’ is heard; that they are involved throughout the process and that they have the opportunity to participate in the procurement process that results in the award of the contract.
If you would like to be involved in the procurement process you can find out more in the Stakeholder Briefing Newsletter.
