Your health and social care experiences – October 2016

November 15, 2016

What have patients and service users been telling us about their health and social care experiences in Birmingham?

September and October has seen another record amount of feedback received by Healthwatch Birmingham. As our infographic (below) shows, we have listened and gathered to peoples’ experiences of local health and social care services through a variety of routes.
Trends in feedback highlight that people are sharing their views on important issues like treatment and care quality, staff attitude and capacity, and waiting times and appointment availability. Our bus advertising campaign saw patients and the public sharing feedback about services we had not heard about before, and a growth in reviews of dentists and opticians. Community engagement activity at local events is also providing people with an opportunity to speak to us directly about issues that matter to them.

Your feedback is helping to drive health and social care improvement

The more feedback we receive the more we can take action to use your experiences to drive improvement. We can by highlighting issues and trends with those that commission and deliver services across the city.
All experiences are placed on our Feedback Centre, where people can also view ratings and reviews submitted by other people about specific services across the city. View our latest infographic below – or click on the image to view in more detail online
