Your health and social care experiences – what did you tell us about in November?

December 9, 2016

Trends in the latest feedback reveal that people’s experiences of communication within services is particularly negative, whilst experiences of staff have improved compared to last month’s trends. Access to services continues to remain an issue for people, with latest reviews discussing negative experiences about waiting times.
Since September, Healthwatch Birmingham have been working with local partners to raise awareness of the importance of patient feedback with care home providers. As a result we have seen a marked increase in people sharing their reviews of local care, nursing and residential homes by completing our Feedback Postcards and sending them to us.
Healthwatch Birmingham is listening and gathering more patient and public feedback about local health and social care services through a range of routes. We are continuing to widely promote our online Feedback Centre, where people can review services quickly and easily. Our #FeedbackonFriday social media campaign acts as a reminder to people to take just five minutes to feedback each week. Our Information and Signposting Line continues to point people in the right direction for appropriate services and listens to trends in their feedback.
