Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC)

I go there for regular eye check up. I have suspected ocular cancer. Investigations are still ongoing. Next week I will get the final diagnosis. The staff are very helpful.

I was treated for retinal vein occlusions over there. The doctor provided me with excellent care and treatment. I was given an injection and laser treatment.

I had cataract surgery here and I received A1 treatment. I also had a follow up after 4 weeks.

I did not get to see anyone because I was unfairly discharged due to not responding to a letter requesting I respond within two weeks. I did respond the same day but the letter was not drawn to my attention for 2 months. Being put on a year long waiting list for a much needed eye examination and then being discharged without being seen because I took 2 months to respond due to being deaf and blind and the letter not being drawn to my attention for 2 months.

I made an appointment yesterday for today as I had lost vision. I went to A&E and they said I could wait but it would be long so I think it was good that they made me an appointment so I didn't have to wait.

I was referred here and received very good treatment. It was a quick referral and the treatment started within 2 months.

Seen by a very professional consultant who did an excellent examination and explained the problem and also what could be done.

Top class care provided every time. The staff and facilities are amazing.
