Long waiting times.

October 12, 2023
Waiting is a bit long in the antenatal clinic. I've been here since 9:30am it's now 1:50pm. I was told when I got here I had another appointment at 1:30pm which I wasn't aware of prior to coming. They told me it was for mental health.

I can ask questions about my care.

You can navigate the system. I feel like I can ask questions if I need to about my care. I haven't had to wait too long.

The IVF clinic is amazing.

Good. The IVF clinic is amazing. Staff have been lovely. I know they're busy but sometimes you have to wait for ages. I feel the wait can be long in this department. I feel they could communicate this if the wait is going to be long. Appointments are sent in good time.

The care is different in each department.

October 12, 2023
It is okay. I've been under different departments. You can tell the difference between them. The care is different (in a good way) if you are high risk. Most of my appointments have been kept and one or two arranged when suitable for me. There is hardly any waiting in fetal medicine, there is one to one care there. Very thorough. During my first antenatal appointment in my first trimester I waited 4 hours. I have mobility issues, it's all on the system, I shouldn't have to repeat myself. Staff are nice, fine and quite helpful. They won't leave you lingering if you have a question. Parking is an issue for people who have walking issues. they need more disabled spaces.

I have had 5 miscarriages. I have been here a lot. It is good. Always very good. Now I have a son, they have seen a lot of me over the last 5/6 years. My son had to be in neonatal. It was good and he is okay now.
