Secretary hard to get hold of

May 24, 2023
I see them every 6 months and I'm still waiting for an appointment. The secretary is hard to chase. I can ring or email them and they still don't answer.

Awful experience, rubbish communication

May 3, 2023
Awful experience, quite terrible to be honest, it was all over the place and the communication was really bad. I stayed in for 8 days before my baby was born and they didn’t explain really why I was there, they just said that the baby may be born still born or something could happen to me but they did not explain it properly. The staff weren’t the best, the communication was just so bad. I had to have a caesarean in the end because everything was all over the place. Just very rubbish to be honest.

Narrow and slippery beds

April 24, 2023
Wish they'd do more research. The beds are narrow and slippery, they should think about people's ages and how agile they are. They don't speak to you much either but I suppose they are doing their jobs.

Easier to make appointments - it's changed

April 24, 2023
It used to not be so good, but they've since made amendments, so it's easier to make appointments. The receptionists made most of the decisions. They used to say no appointments and that they couldn't do prescriptions, but they are much better now. There's been lots of complaints about the surgery but its seems to have changed now.

Good so far, care is good

April 24, 2023
Good so far, been to the clinic and had a scan, now waiting for the consultant. Been waiting half an hour for each appointment, but its normal waiting times for each. I'm satisfied with the care, care is good. I'll give it 4 stars because of waiting time, but sometimes its hard to chase appointments because no one answers. I was double booked and not speaking to someone can create confusion.

Good care and helpful app

April 24, 2023
I've had 3 of my children here and currently having my 4th, I wanted to come here to have my children. The care is good and waiting times are okay. They send me letters and put information on the app about appointments. The app is helpful and all my information goes onto it.

Staff are transparent and great support

April 24, 2023
The twins were born here. Everyone has been supportive and enough teams available. We've had help with sorting out birth certificates, funding, family support, financial and emotional support, knowing what's available, it's all been explained and the support has been really good. I have to try take everything in but they are being transparent. The babies are in different rooms so that they can get the best care.

Care above average, well informed.

April 24, 2023
It's been okay, the care has been above average depends who's on what shift. Sometimes some of the staff are more hands on than others. I understand that some people need to train but sometimes I want to know that the person who is delivering the care knows what they are doing when the baby is here and it's so specialised. I do feel well informed but I do get confused about some things they are saying sometimes. We've been here 4 days and I gave birth here. Everything was well explained about babies genetic condition and it was explained well.

They go above and beyond, helpful.

April 24, 2023
Staff are amazing, can't fault them, they go above and beyond. You can call in and they give you updates. We've been on the unit for months and I gave birth here. When we lost one of our triplets, we were offered bereavement support, they were also helpful in arranging the funeral, they gave us a number and went through everything and accommodated the religious aspects. I've been expressing milk for the babies and they are only having small amounts of milk at a time. The milk is being frozen but large amounts are being defrosted and wasted. There seemed to be a lack of communication about how much milk should be defrosted but now a notice has been put up and everyone is taking notice.
