Treated quickly after tests

Endoscopy
January 17, 2024
Husband was referred on quickly and he ended up having an endoscopy. They said he had cancer in the lining of something. I can't remember the name but they then started chemo really quickly afterwards. The treatment made him poorly to begin with but he was fine afterwards and has been, touch wood.

Shocking. 15 hours we were in there after my daughter took an overdose. She was kept in for so long and it was to be expected but it's a long time. The care was okay.

Transferred after tests

January 16, 2024
Referred on quickly and had swelling on neck and was there the next day after seeing GP. They did tests and figured out it was cancer and got me transferred onto haematology at the QE as they didn't treat it there.

They should have proper working machines.

They should have proper machines that take cash or card as none of them work. I have to wait in a queue for 10 minutes. The should have proper machines.

Very dirty

Very dirty. The toilets were dirty. No proper cleaners at all. The cleaners weren't wearing proper gloves and coughing a lot. That concerns me as a member of the public.

Very good and referred me onto eye hospital

January 15, 2024
I ended up in A&E with an eye emergency. They did an MRI scan and other tests to see what was wrong after the opticians told me to go straight to A&E. It was a bit of a wait but eventually it got sorted. They then said I would need to be seen by the eye hospital. I managed to get an appointment for the following week. They were very good.
